Exercise Classes through Range of Motion
Range of Motion Physiotherapy provide three different classes at the Range Community Gym and Fitness Centre.
The RESIST program is based on strength and resistance training designed specifically for people over the age of 40. The program aims to improve and maintain strength and fitness for the promotion of overall health and wellbeing. It can also assist in decreasing the health decline in those with chronic conditions.
The STEADY program is specifically designed for people over the age of 65. The program uses an evidence based exercise model. This approach may assist with the management and prevention of falls and health problems related to osteoporosis, osteopenia, osteoarthritis and poor balance. The RESIST and STEADY programs cost $20.00 per class or $160.00 for 10 weeks
The TYPE 2 DIABETES program is designed for people who have been diagnosed with the condition and aims to improve their understanding of Type 2 Diabetes and teach practical ways to manage it. Suitable clients are eligible for an initial assessment with the Exercise Physiologist , along with 8 group exercise and education sessions. These are funded under the Medicare Group Allied Health Services Type 2 Diabetes program. Consult your GP for an appropriate referral.
Private and DVA clients are welcome to attend classes.
